Peter Bryniczka has a long-standing tradition of legal work and service in Westport, CT, that spans back generations. His family has lived in town since his paternal grandparents moved to town in the 1950s. Peter’s father, Jacob (“Jan”) Bryniczka grew up in town, and eventually became an Attorney, joining the Westport firm, Wake, See & Dimes, one of Westport’s most esteemed law firms, in 1970. The Firm would eventually become Wake, See, Dimes & Bryniczka. This was not the end, however, of the Bryniczka family’s legal legacy in Westport. Peter Bryniczka followed in his Father’s footsteps and became a lawyer after studying at UConn Law School, his father’s alma mater. Peter then joined the team at what was then Schoonmaker, George & Colin after Law School. He became a Partner in 2013 and a Named Partner in January of 2020. Peter and the firm are bringing his legal legacy home. Schoonmaker, George, Blomberg, Bryniczka & Welsh have opened up a new office in Westport. His new space has a view of his father’s old office on Imperial Avenue, and gives Peter an opportunity to expand his family legal tradition and serve Westport and the surrounding towns.
